11.13.07 - 11/13/07 OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels lost in the first round of the National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region Tournament Tuesday, Nov. 13. The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Evangels in four games. "We did not play well at all against Oklahoma Wesleyan," Head Coach Samantha Lindsey said. "We went through the motions the entire game and handed the game away." The first game was back and forth from the beginning, but the Lady Evangels found themselves down 29-28. MACU rallied and scored the next three points, taking the first game 31-29. "I felt good after the first game. We struggled, but we persevered and I thought we were on the right track," Coach Lindsey said. The Lady Evangels struggled in the final three games and the Lady Eagles took advantage, winning 30-22, 30-21, and 30-20. Emily Moore had a good game with 22 kills and 12 digs. Jessica Chestnut had 10 kills, while Jennifer Roselius had eight kills and Jocelyn Mehlhaff had seven kills. Melissa Thomas had 35 assists and Meagan Davis contributed 22 digs. MACU finished the season 10-20, and 3-8 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
