Ranger Transfer Jamie Floyd Signs to Play MACU Basketball

5.7.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Ranger Junior College transfer Jamie Floyd to play women's basketball for the 2008-2009 season.

Floyd, a 19-year-old transfer from Ranger Junior College, is a 2007 graduate of Sherman High School in Sherman, Texas. Floyd was an All-District forward/guard for the Sherman Lady Bearcats, and will play the same position for the MACU Lady Evangels.

Floyd was also an All-Academic performer for the Sherman Lady Bearcats.

"Jamie is a very athletic guard and a tenacious defender," MACU Head Women's Basketball Coach Markus Crandall said. "She also is a very versatile player that could play 3 or 4 different positions. We are very fortunate to have her join our program."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
