4.25.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Wellston senior Charis Beasler to play women's basketball for the 2008-2009 season.

Beasler, an 18-year-old senior at Wellston High School, was named to the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-Region team for the Wellston Lady Tigers. Beasler was a guard for the Lady Tigers and will play the same position for the MACU Lady Evangels.

"Charis is a solid student that has a great attitude," MACU Women's Basketball Coach Markus Crandall said. "She had an outstanding high school career, leading Wellston in scoring and rebounding. Charis will bring depth to our forward position."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
