10/23/07 - CLAREMOORE, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Evangels fell to Rogers State University 4-1 on October 22. The loss gives the Evangels a 9-6-2 record for the season. The Hillcats jumped out to an early lead, scoring two goals in the opening three minutes of the game. The Evangels responded with stiff defense rest of the half, but the offense was stalled and held scoreless. In the second half, the Evangels offense came alive when Dylan Finch capitalized on a Tyler Jones pass and found the back of the net pulling the Evangels within one of the Hillctas. Rogers State responded with two quick goals and put the game out of reach for the Evangels taking a three goal lead. Rogers State out shot the Evangels 19-9 for the game. MACU's Austin Custar had five saves in goal.
