5.7.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Mustang senior Karl Griffith to play men's golf for the 2008-2009 season.

Griffith, a 17-year-old senior at Mustang High School, was a state qualifier for the Mustang Bronco's. Griffith will compete for a top five spot on the MACU Evangel golf team.

"We are happy to have Karl as our first sign for next season's golf team," MACU Head Men's Golf Coach Markus Crandall said. "Karl is a good student and a very talented golfer, who had an outstanding high school career. He will bring competitiveness to our squad."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
