Seminole Transfer Corey Raney Signs to Play MACU Basketball

4.24.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Seminole transfer Corey Raney to play men's basketball for the 2008-2009 season.

Raney, a 21-year-old transfer from Seminole State College, played two years for the Seminole State Trojans. Raney was a guard for the Trojans, and will play the same position for the MACU Evangels.

Raney, 2006 graduate of Putnam City North High School, was All-City for the Putnam City North Panthers. Raney was Jim Thorpe All-Star selection in 2006.

"Corey Raney is a solid team player," MACU men's basketball coach Willie Holley said. "He can handle the ball while making good court decisions. Corey is an excellent defensive player."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Conference and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
