4.1.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Chattanooga senior Eric Garza to play men's basketball in the 2008-2009 season.

Garza, an 18-year-old senior at Chattanooga High School, was a guard for the Chattanooga Warriors and will play the same position for the MACU Evangels.

"I am very excited to have a player with Eric's ability and character as part of our basketball program," MACU Head Men's Basketball Coach Willie Holley said. "Eric has not only athletic ability, but great leadership potential."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
