4.16.08 - STILLWATER, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Evangels fell to the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Oklahoma State University Cowboys, Wednesday, April 16. The Cowboys defeated the Evangels, 25-1. MACU batted 6-for-30 on the evening, while OSU went 26-for-48. The Evangels committed three errors on the game, leading to 12 unearned runs. MACU struck-out six Cowboy batters in the game. The Evangels shut-out the Cowboys throughout the first three innings of the game. The Evangels grabbed the first lead of the game, when Freshman Alex Webb hit a RBI double, scoring Junior Rocky Polk, taking a 1-0 lead. OSU responded in the following innings, outscoring the Evangels, as OSU rallied for the win. Webb finished the game 1-for-3 with a RBI, while Polk went 1-for-4 with a run scored. Senior Matthew Howard went 1-for-2; Junior Jake Scott finished the game 1-for-4. The Evangels are 10-30 on the season, and remain 2-25 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. MACU will battle Rogers State University at home in a nine inning game, Thursday, April 17.
